Hey Friends!

Please consider joining me and many other amazing people in this classic Meet of the Miles event at the U of M fieldhouse.

This is my first time running in this event and I am excited to bring friends along to join in on the fun and get some much needed exercise- INDOOR!

Here are the event details:

When: Next Monday, January 12, 2015, starting at 6pm

Where: 1800 University Ave SE. You can park in the pool ramp for a fee.  The ramp is about 1-2 blocks east of the Fieldhouse entrance.  You enter the fieldhouse along University.

What: Each participant will run at least one mile that they sign up for in their registered heat. The first mile which is the fastest one starts at 6:00 pm

Cost: $5 Adults / $2 Students
Registration only at meet.

This is going to be a fun and positive event that everyone can do- it’s only a mile and you can run as slow or as fast as you want with no judgments. There will be runners of all levels there, from runners with a 4 minute mile to those with 12 minute miles- all are welcome!

BUT, it doesn’t have to be! I don’t love the mile. I haven’t met a lot of other runners that enjoy running the mile, but this distance is really great for training and tracking purposes.

The mile can be scary, but it can also be very rewarding is you train properly to keep improving your mile time and your overall level of fitness.

If one of your new year’s resolutions is to get fit, this is a great way to test your current fitness and is a good indicator of your current running capabilities. This will hopefully motivate you to continue to run throughout the seasons so you can track your progression next time you run the mile!

See you there!

Hold FAST to your Dreams,
